Hey there... here's some personal stats:

I'm English; 52; lived in Amsterdam the last 20 years; proud father of an 18year old son; speak English, Dutch, German, some French, some Spanish; Play guitar, sax, piano, bass, harmonica; write songs, articles, Hubs, and diverse blogs. (recently completed my first e-book - see my cartooning blog), I draw, cartoon, illustrate children's books; studied photography; sang and played in rock bands since I was 20; done the "Greek-Island-Hopping" trip 3 times (before the tourists!); done most of Europe in a Volkswagen bus; seen Canada and Cambodia once.

The future beckons - my son will be making his own way in the world shortly, and I don't plan to hang around waiting for old age. So much I want to do and see - I plan for another 50 years or more, to do it and see it.

As 2011 heralds in another new decade, I look back on 2010 as a year of intense self-reflection. In that year I was able to uncover the emotional and behavioral patterns and conditioning that has dictated my life until now. In view of this, and with a view to all the things I still want to experience in my life, I have decided to transform myself and my life "completely", by indulging myself in "conscious living".

What this means to me, and for me, will be the theme of most of my "Hubs" from here on in. I am my own project for 2011... a project in "personal development... without stress".
